THEATRE PROJECT “ONE OF A KIND” SHOWCASED AT BONDI PAVILION
On 2 December 2013, Jewish Arts showcased excerpts from the musical theatre production under development by a dedicated writing team. The musical is inspired by a true story of a Jewish refugee family expelled from Egypt in 1956. The showcase featured a wonderful cast led by Bradley Mart in the lead role, several graduates and some students from the musical theatre program at AIM, the Australian Institute of Music. The music composed thus far is by writing team Judy Campbell and Aaron Robuck, with Dr Kim Cunio providing some exotic orchestrations creating the atmosphere of the time and place. The instrumental ensemble included traditional Middle Eastern instruments such as oud and nay.
